The Role
Beyond Type 1 is seeking a Project Manager to support cross-functional initiatives across key areas of the organization, including Programs, Growth, and Marketing.

This role is responsible for helping teams move complex work forward by bringing structure, visibility, and coordination to initiatives that span multiple departments. The Project Manager partners closely with leaders and team members to ensure priorities are clear, timelines are realistic, and work is delivered in alignment with organizational goals.

This role is located within the US.  We will only consider candidates who reside in the US.

What You’ll Do

Project Intake, Planning & Prioritization
  • Own project intake for assigned portfolio, assessing scope, urgency, resourcing needs, and feasibility
  • Partner with portfolio leaders to prioritize initiatives based on impact, capacity, and strategic alignment
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies using Asana
  • Establish clear expectations, deliverables, and service-level agreements (SLAs)

Execution & Delivery Management
  • Lead end-to-end project management from planning through completion
  • Track progress against timelines and deliverables; proactively identify and mitigate risks
  • Drive accountability across teams to ensure commitments are met
  • Adjust sequencing or scope in partnership with leadership when constraints arise

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across departments involved in assigned initiatives
  • Facilitate project-related meetings with clear agendas, decisions, and follow-ups
  • Ensure roles, responsibilities, and handoffs are clearly defined and communicated
  • Act as the single source of truth for project status and timelines

Capacity, Risk & Dependency Management
  • Monitor team capacity and workload related to assigned projects
  • Identify dependencies and potential bottlenecks early
  • Escalate risks and tradeoffs with clear recommendations
  • Support leadership decision-making with accurate, timely information

Reporting & Visibility
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to portfolio leaders and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and dashboards
  • Support post-project reviews to capture learnings and improve future execution

Process & Tools
  • Ensure consistent use of project management tools and workflows (Asana required)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management standards and practices
  • Partner with Operations and leadership to refine execution processes as the organization scales

What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years of experience managing complex projects or programs in a cross-functional environment
  • Advanced skills in Asana or similar project management software
  • Experience developing process and documenting procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization and emotional intelligence skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities with confidence
  • Experience partnering with multiple teams and senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to work

Why Join Beyond Type 1
  • Meaningful, mission-driven work with real-world impact
  • A collaborative, remote-first team environment
  • The opportunity to help shape how work gets done in a growing organization
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits

How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a cover letter.
In your cover letter, we’re especially interested in learning:
  • What project or program work you’ve done that aligns with Beyond Type 1’s mission or the communities we serve
  • How you’ve supported cross-functional teams working toward shared goals
  • Why this role — and Beyond Type 1 — resonates with you at this point in your career
