Head of Growth & Partnerships will work alongside the President to oversee all revenue streams, leveraging partnerships and fundraising efforts to further our mission of supporting people impacted by diabetes. This role will play a key part in shaping and executing Beyond Type 1’s strategic plan, aligning revenue growth with our core initiatives. We are looking for a bold, entrepreneurial leader who can cultivate high-level relationships, craft compelling proposals, and push the boundaries of what is possible for nonprofit revenue generation.

Salary $160-185k, DOE, DOL
 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Expand beyond traditional nonprofit models: Explore new revenue-generating opportunities, including out of industry partnerships, licensing, cause marketing, and other creative strategies
  • Execute on a comprehensive strategy to maximize future partners and plan for continued growth of strategic partnerships and contributed revenue through institutional giving (e.g., corporate partnerships, foundations), individual giving, high net worth individual giving, and planned giving
  • Adjust revenue strategy as necessary to create sustainable growth in line with business objectives, mission alignment and community relevance
  • Develop detailed account plans identifying key contacts, a strategy to maximize revenue, and how to leverage our existing relationships
  • Build upon and manage the business development pipeline
  • Maximize fundraising opportunities including donor events, strategic outreach to high-net-worth individuals and other opportunistic efforts
  • Identify ways to further diversify Beyond Type 1’s funding base to increase unrestricted and restricted funds from all constituencies
  • Manage business and fundraising development process, identifying new prospects and growing/managing existing partnerships, leveraging Salesforce and other tools to demonstrate ongoing progress in the business development process
  • Prepare monthly reports evaluating the fundraising efforts and ensure that the organization is on track to meet revenue goal 
  • Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment across the organization
  • Monitor related in- and out-of-industry marketplaces and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics to maintain relevance for community
  • Lead the Growth & Partnership team: provide day-to-day leadership and create developmental opportunities within the organization through mentoring, constructive feedback and a culture of accountability
  • Create a positive, respectful reputation for Beyond Type 1 with prospective and current donors
  • Inspire, motivate and drive change both inside and outside of the organization


Who you are:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience and proven success in business / fundraising development
  • A creative, out-of-the-box thinker who challenges traditional nonprofit revenue strategies
  • A proven leader in securing six- and seven-figure partnerships across industries
  • A relationship builder with a strong network of brand, corporate, and/or philanthropic contacts.
  • A strategic and entrepreneurial problem-solver who can translate vision into action.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and conceptual thinking ability, while being, “a closer”
  • Ability to see big picture while effectively managing details
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun, and demanding environment
  • Superior communicator with demonstrated ability to be collaborative and open-minded
  • Proven track record in working with stakeholders / building consensus at multiple levels
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and balance work in the face of rapidly changing needs
  • Highly organized, tremendous attention to detail and incredibly tech-savvy
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as professional demeanor while interacting with all levels of management
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
